We hope you will consider attending the event. All current and past LP parents are welcome, along with LP staff (past and present), dear friends of the school and alumni who are 21 years or older. Not sure if you’ll know anybody there? No worries; LP’ers are friendly folks. Still not sure? Then gather up a group of friends and come together!
The Learning Project Auction is our largest fundraising event of the year, and the immense generosity that our community bestows through the Auction is a critical component of our operating budget. Last year, we raised over $80,000 for our school – over $30,000 of which came in during our Paddle Raise and went toward renovating our Ballroom space. It has been a huge improvement for children and teachers alike!
This year’s Paddle Raise, as well as sponsorships, will be directed toward financial aid scholarships for current and prospective families. Diversity is a cornerstone of The Learning Project’s mission, and the school has found that, in recent years, more money has needed to be allocated to this cause in order to sustain the level of diversity that we pride ourselves on. The LP has never been a place of uniform socio-economic status, and we need to work together to ensure that we are able to uphold this deep, inherent value of our school. We ask for your help, and we do so in the midst of what is sure to be an incredible party, full of laughter, joy, joined hands, a flurry of bids, and a dance floor of tapping feet.
